The Senior Managing Director of Regulatory Reporting will oversee the bank’s regulatory reporting functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. The role focuses on critical reports, including FR Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-14 Q, FR Y-15, and FFIEC 041. Responsibilities include direct preparation, review, and timely submission of essential regulatory reports (FFIEC 041, FR Y-14 (Q), FR Y-9CM, Y-15, and FFIEC 041). The position involves managing and maintaining the regulatory reporting platform (e.g., AxiomSL), establishing and maintaining robust internal controls over regulatory reporting, serving as the primary point of contact during examinations and audits, mentoring and leading a high-performing reporting team, collaborating with Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, IT, and Compliance teams, staying current on regulatory changes, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or an advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance) preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive regulatory reporting experience within banking or financial services. Deep knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting requirements (FR 2052a, FR Y-14 (Q), FR Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-15, and FFIEC Call Reports). Hands-on experience with AxiomSL or similar platforms. Strong understanding of liquidity risk, capital adequacy, stress testing, and regulatory frameworks (Dodd-Frank, Basel III). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proven leadership and team management track record; superior communication skills; and proficiency in regulatory reporting systems and data management tools (advanced Excel, SQL). Experience with regulatory review including 'wrap vs. gap' differences and balance sheet procedures. Experience in interpretation of accounting reports and policies for SMEs. Merger accounting and M&A experience. Experience with TDR (Troubled Debt Restructuring) accounting, loan loss accounting, and OCC wrap. Data analytics a plus.
