Operator position is accountable for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the machines assigned to them in the Brake Press department. Under the direction of the Department Lead and the Manufacturing Manager, they will complete all work orders assigned to them according to the specific work order instructions.
Essential functions include completing all work orders assigned to their area, checking that all paperwork on each job order has the matching revision level, ensuring all parts are properly labeled and moved to the next area when completed, informing supervisors about any irregularities on work orders, maintaining organization and cleanliness of their area, following all safety procedures and policies, working to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures, troubleshooting and assisting in the repair of equipment as requested, and working with quality teams to ensure quality parts are produced.
The Brake Press Setup role requires attention to detail and teamwork to maintain efficient and safe operations.
At least 2 years of setup and operational experience with similar machinery is required.
For the right candidate without experience, consideration may be given to training for the position at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
Candidates must have high attention to detail and good math skills.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time is necessary.
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds periodically during the shift is required.
